crowned princess

I found this really cute tutorial on the Juicy Bits blog via the blog Skip to My Lou. Thanks so much Jessica for this very thorough and informative tutorial.

A back crown view

My mom and I spent about four weekends working on these between us.  We ended up making two, one for Mrs. Sayuri and one for her little friend, N. They were a lot of fun to make.

A big forehead crown

We hand sewed almost all of it. Being in Costa Rica I knew/know of nowhere I could/can buy wool felt or even a blend. I also didn’t know where to get fusible interfacing, so I just used non-fusible interfacing. We did these with the regular acrylic felt that was available to us and I think they turned out awesome, don’t you? I love them!

Great crowns. I am going to pass this info on to Charis. You both are so crafty!! Charis made cj a cape towel with a superman logo on the back, and he LOVES it. hugs,
