This cookie design came about when I made the tea bags. Cookies and tea just make a yummy pair.
These are fun to make, super easy and quick.

- Poly-fiber filling/stuffing
1. Find something circular that you can trace that measures about 3″ in diameter (I used the bottom of a planter’s peanut can, but you could use a pringles container, a tin can, etc.)
2. Trace your pattern onto cardstock or stiff paper.
3. Cut it out and use it on your felt. For one cookie you will need to cut two of your circle pattern in the same color.
Powered by Hackadelic Sliding Notes 1.6.44. You will need to cut out a heart shape pattern. Mine were about 1 1/2″ – 1 3/4″ at the width. You don’t want them too wide.
5. Pin pattern to the center of one felt circle and cut out around it. (You can save the heart to use in some other project, but it will not be used for this cookie)
6. Take the red felt which will is your “jelly filling” color. Lay it behind the heart cut-out felt circle and roughly cut. Cut it so that it is slightly smaller than the cookie round in diameter (see photo in steps 4 and 5 section).
7. Next, hold jelly filling felt piece behind the cookie round and stitch on by hand with coordinating red thread.

8. Lay cookie back circle behind finished front piece and begin to blanket lock stitch around the edge using same coordinating thread to join them.
When about half way through with the edge, stuff with a piece of poly-fiber fill that you cut out slightly smaller than the cookie in diameter.
Blanket stitch closed.
