Although I didn’t get my picture up on the blog yesterday, I did take photos.
I took this picture of Mrs. Sayuri right before she went into her dance class. She is taking a ballet/tap class in town and the weather was so nice yesterday (in the sixties) that we walked there and back. We got there about five minutes early so I grabbed Mrs. Sayuri and captured a few shots of her in this brick alley right next to her dance school.
The bits in her hands are treasures she collected along our walk there.
The skirt she’s wearing is one that my mom made and sent her for her birthday! I love it. She followed this tutorial for a knock off Buckle skirt by The Planner And The Procrastinator. This skirt was a refashion because it started out as a women’s long skirt. My mom altered and used the existing waistband to encase new elastic and she fully lined it too! I wish I had a picture of what the original skirt looked like before because it was nowhere near as beautiful as what it is now. Yeah for refashions!
Love this shot! Mrs. Sayuri looks so pretty and the big D looks so urban ; )
Thanks Heather. 🙂
What a great photo! The colours, angle-love it!
Thanks!
