Today we ate the last of our homemade caramel apples – it seemed appropriate since fall appears almost over with.
We used Granny Smith apples and opted to purchase a caramel apple kit with sheets of caramel that you peel and stick onto your apples – less mess was definitely my choice. Mrs. Sayuri made these all by herself too. After a little trial and error, she figured out that the sheets of caramel needed to be stretched in order to cover the apples completely. Once the apples were covered, we just popped them into a warm oven to melt the caramel a little.
We bought our Concord caramel apple kit from Frogpond Farms in Bainbridge, NY for just two dollars. I sure do love that place!
Love the colors in this picture.
The photo displays the meaning of the documentation. The rich colours and choice of the produce in the “still life” conveys Fall.
