We are expecting baby #3!
According to the pregnancy due date calculator online…I am a little over 15 weeks pregnant and the baby is the size of an apple or orange.
So far I am in that “pudgy” stage where things are starting not to fit right and yet maternity clothing looks a little silly on me. Kind of an awkward place to be. A friend told me the other day that I look like I just ate a really big lunch! Not to worry though…the belly will come soon enough.
I have not had a midwife prenatal visit yet. Marie, the same midwife who was at Mr. Happy Feet’s birth, will be on call for this one. We are planning to have another home waterbirth, like our previous two have been. I look forward to hearing the heartbeat when we have our first visit with Marie. I’ve had some blood work done, which is standard, and everything looks great! I am feeling very good.
I haven’t felt the baby move yet. I think I was around 20 weeks along with Mrs. Sayuri when I realized what felt like “bubbles” was actual early movement. I was only 16 weeks when I felt Mr. Happy Feet move in my tummy. I wonder when I’ll feel this little one.
No More Nausea
I am just into my second trimester now, so the nausea has subsided and I don’t really have cravings anymore. Thankfully I have never suffered from the typical morning sickness! My cravings this time around were: lots and lots of fresh fruit, protein and potatoes! I had to stay away from oregano. For some reason that smell really does not sit well with me when I am in my first trimester.
Lovely Hormones!
I have been very aware of the fact that my hormones are raging. I am certainly more apt to cry while watching something or reading something that touches me or even because things build up inside emotionally. It’s a strange feeling to get all teary eyed and know that it is has more to do with the fact that you are pregnant than what you’re actually experiencing, but you can’t do much about it.
A Peek Into The Past
Below I posted a couple photos from my past two pregnancies. I think Mrs. Sayuri carried lower and was more compact than Mr. Happy Feet. I felt so BIG by the time he was born at 41 weeks.
This is Mrs. Sayuri in vitro. We were gonna be parents for the first time! I’m 8 months pregnant in the above photo.
Mr. Happy Feet in the belly. Us about three years later at the baby shower for Mr. Happy Feet. I am around 7 months pregnant in the above photo.
So happy for all of you! I will continue to pray for you!!!!
How exciting. So glad that the nausea has subsided.
SO happy for you!!!!
