Like I mentioned yesterday, Mr. Happy Feet got a hair cut. Not just any haircut, but his first haircut not done by me. I’ve always cut his hair so that it was long and more of what I would consider a little boy cut, done with only scissors.
I love his hair like that, but he wanted it much shorter. Initially he wanted it all shaved off, but I put my foot down and said No! We talked it over with Lori (our hairdresser) and came to a compromise.
He got it shorter in the back and sides, and a bit longer on the top. Lori put some gel in it and gave him a faux hawk just for fun and she even gave him some blue (washable) coloring for the tips. He thought it was pretty neat and was all smiles.
While his sister got her hair cut we put him under the dryer so that the blue colored gel could dry, since it was still tacky and I didn’t want it to get on furniture. It worked great and dried fairly quickly that way. Funny enough, when we got home, he wanted it washed out! So, the styled look didn’t last long.
After all is said and done I am very pleased with his new look, seeing as at first (when the razor was shaving off clumps of his hair) I wanted to cry!
He looks like such a big boy now.
He still looks adorable!
