Rainbow Toothpick Art

triangle square

This activity was inspired by this post.  It was very easy because it didn’t require very many supplies at all – just a flat piece of styrofoam, colored toothpicks and markers.

Mrs. Sayuri already knows her shapes and colors well, but she just loves playing with large quantities of itty-bitty things. So you can just imagine that she was in toothpick heaven with this activity.

busy work

She even did some of her own drawing on there as well. She said she drew a dragon all by herself and it did kinda resemble one. 🙂

Ear Yuckies

As I sat with Mr.Happy Feet on the couch Mrs. Sayuri came up and started doing something near his little ear. This dialogue followed: Mrs. Sayuri: I’m pretending his ear is a cup mama. <makes sipping noises right in his ear> Me: He might not like that too much… Mrs. Sayuri: <as she looks inside […]

Discovering Fresh Corn On The Cob

Discovering Fresh Corn On The Cob

We picked our first ear of corn from our garden a while back. Mrs. Sayuri really enjoyed peeling off the husk and playing with the silk on top. Our very own home-grown organic corn on the cob!  My hubby was testing out organic seed that he had ordered from Seeds of Change.  He grew them […]

Yeah! ‘Cause… today I thought of a use for some of those cards – Recycled collage-style greeting cards Mrs. Sayuri […]

Atira got into the washable marker container all by herself and decided to use her skin as a canvas! There was ink all down her legs, her arms, on her palms and the soles of her feet.

So like any good mother… I ran and got my camera of course.
