This month I plan on blogging all of my crafts and creations from the past 6 months or more since our move (and a little before) that I’ve meant to post but haven’t. I have cookies, crafts, recipes and more to photograph and put up on the blog. I’m excited to share all of it with you. How about some cookies to start us off!
I made these a while back, while still in CR and I really did like the way they turned out. This was my first attempt at brush embroidery. It was not as hard as I thought it would be. It’s actually a lot of fun to do. I found Alibee’s youtube video on Karen’s cookies website to be very helpful. I love Karen’s Cookies – her customer service is excellent and her site is so easy to navigate and find what you need.
Also, very pleased with how this simple mendhi design turned out.
These both were gingerbread cookies with royal icing. The gingerbread cookie recipe was from Peggie Porschen and very yummy!
Beautiful cookies, might be too pretty to eat, but then.
What talent! The decoration is beautiful…
I love the technique you used to design the cookie. The design looks really sophisticated and perfect for parties. Thanks for sharing this wonderful piece of art.
You don’t have to be an artist. You can trace a similar garment from a pattern or catalog. You only need the basic shape and some dots, squiggles and lines to simulate the embroidery.
